My passion for photography started through bird watching at local nature reserves and while I was out with my conservation volunteer group I learnt about nature, but most of my photography is now a mixture of landscapes, nature and sport.
I enjoy photography because I can capture the mood and atmosphere around me especially early morning mist and the sense of peace and calm. A single picture can tell a story of a thousand words.

I consider myself a keen amateur photographer being self taught with most of my information coming from photo magazines.

Last year in 2015 I travelled to Antigua in the Caribbean, done a tour around china for one month, Travelled around New Zealand for 6 weeks and stopped at Dubai and Abu Dhabi on my way back home. But a normal holiday to me would be camping in Snowdonia or somewhere with hill’s or water for me to explore, when I go out with my camera I like to be at one with my surrounding.

I have recently set up my own photography FaceBook site called ‘Hayling Island and Hampshire Photography’.
I'm also a member of the Hampshire Social Snappers, which is run by Andy Bracey. I have added Andy's website as a link because he has a very good eye for landscape photography. I would recommend browsing his site
